25 Humorous Illustrations by an Artist on the Life of Sharks

Sharks get a bad rap as the ocean’s outcasts, and they’re often portrayed as scary, bloodthirsty monsters. But did you know that there’s more to their brains than meets the eye? Comedian and writer Christian Talbot likes to imagine the funny conversations that might be happening between these toothy sea creatures, based on real shark facts.

Christian and illustrator Sophie Hodge collaborate on the webcomic “Life of Sharks,” which uses clever humor and true-to-life shark facts to create a hilarious and thought-provoking experience. Their comics show us the humorous side of these underwater predators, and their Instagram account has over 80k followers.

Most of Christian’s animal comics are about everyday life, relationships, and feelings. It’s hilarious to imagine these ruthless killers talking about the same things as us! Plus, Christian points out that sharks don’t charge royalties. The more he learns about these creatures, the more fascinating he finds them. Even marine biologists are following his funny comics! Check out some of his best illustrations below.
